About Us
Yes, we have been open and will remain open and fully operational throughout the COVID19 lockdown and pandemic and be here for those in need . No one should be stressing about a lack of food at a time like this. We are here for you no matter who you are.
The purpose of the Foodbank is to supply emergency food and household items to vulnerable individuals and families within the Far North Region.
Our Community Foodbank is part of a network that brings support to the social services of the Far North Community.
A key role in bringing help and hope to people in need.
In our year July 2020-June 2021 we provided 1,103 parcels to those in need of food assistance feeding 1,441 adults and 1,564 children (total 3,005 fed) and each parcel contained enough food for that household for 5-7 days with breakfast, lunch, dinner , snacks and we add anything else we can lay our hands on e.g. dishwash liquid, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, nappies, baby formula, feminine products, toothpaste, laundry powder, even pet food, etc.
